Steve Wallevand is a audio engineer, producer/composer, and trombonist based in the Upper Midwest. A lifelong musician, he began formal study at an early age and, at sixteen, was taken under the wing of a New York City studio musician.

As a trombonist and collaborator, Wallevand has performed with artists including The Temptations, Wayne Newton, and Michael Feinstein & the Carnegie Hall Big Band, and was invited to join the Broadway touring production of Hello, Dolly!. He has also performed with musicians from the bands of artists such as B.B. King, Bruce Hornsby, Parliament, Snoop, Jane's Addiction, and Frank Zappa, along with numerous other major recording and touring artists.

His recording work has included sessions in professional studios in Hollywood, Chicago, and Minneapolis with engineers including Dave Aaron (Prince, U2) and Steve Albini (Nirvana, Page & Plant).

Music has been a constant in his life. Raised in a musical household, his mother taught piano and directed choirs, and his father—a retired chemist and Green Beret veteran—sings with the Fargo-Moorhead Master Chorale and also plays piano.

For ten years, Wallevand worked with Media Productions / Flint Group, where he served in both studio and live event roles. During that time he produced audio for commercial clients including Dow, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Bobcat, and provided live audio support for high-profile appearances featuring Peyton Manning, Danica Patrick, Bill Gates, and Doug Burgum.

Through River Wall Studio, Wallevand produces music and audio for regional and international clients including Food Network and National Public Radio. His music and commercial production work have also been featured on Minnesota Public Radio and throughout Minneapolis.
